SerpBook was the first web-based rank tracker I’d ever used. Like many people, I’d used desktop-based rank trackers such as SEO Powersuite, but never a SaaS.
The main difference I’ve found between SerpBook and other rank trackers I’ve ever used is that they’ve managed to offer extremely useful and advanced features, while still making it very simple for the average user. I never felt like I had to go searching for what I was looking for.
Here are some of the main features offered by SerpBook:
- Extremely fast and accurate reporting.
- Shows results for Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
- Organize websites and keywords into different categories.
- Automatic reports emailed to yourself or clients.
- White labeling options available for every single feature.
- Detailed graphs to make it simple to track progress.
- Add notes to graphs to keep track of SEO-related changes.
- Get live notifications on certain keyword movements.
- Free API access to use all their data programmatically.
SerpBook Report Preview
SerpBook’s reporting interface is the #1 reason I recommend them to people. You can easily customize which columns are displayed and can even white label it to display your own branding (or no branding at all). SerpBook was the original SaaS rank tracker to offer this feature.
Normal Users VS Digital Agencies
It’s really hard to write a one-size-fits-all review of SerpBook because there’s two huge groups of people that use them: individuals and agencies. Before I start breaking down ever feature they offer, let me explain why I recommend them for individual users and digital agencies.
Individual Users – If you’re looking for the easiest rank tracker, SerpBook is exactly what you need. Seriously, just stop reading here and just signup for their free trial.
Digital Agencies – If you’re looking for a white label rank tracking solution, you need to use SerpBook. They will allow you to white label and automate everything.
SerpBook Feature Breakdown
SerpBook is one of those services with a ton of features. I’m going to break each of them down in this section to help you have a better understanding of what they offer before you signup
White Labeling – Almost every part of SerpBook can be white labeled – everything from your dashboard to the PDF reports they email you. They’ve really gone out of their way to make sure nobody know you’re using their service (if you don’t want them to know).
Automatic Reports – You can schedule for reports to be emailed to you or your clients at a set interval. You can choose how frequently you want to receive the reports and decide between them being in PDF or CSV format.
3 Search Engines – A lot of rank trackers nowadays will charge you based upon which search engines you choose to use. SerpBook doesn’t have this restriction. They’ll check Google, Yahoo, and Bing for every keyword you enter.
Local Search Results – Are you a local business owner? No problem, SerpBook has you covered. You have the option to check search results based upon geographic locations to know what people in you’re area would be seeing in their search results.
API Access – I doubt that many people use SerpBook’s API, but it’s still an awesome feature. If you want to offer their data in your own dashboard, this is a must-have feature. Also, they don’t charge you anything extra to use it and you get access to it with any of their plans.
Google Analytics Integration – Want to easily see how much increased rankings will increase your traffic? No problem! You can integrate Google Analytics with SerpBook to see your Analytics data in their dashboard alongside your rankings.
Custom Notes – You can add custom notes to any date in your charts on SerpBook. This is commonly used to track whenever you make changes that you think will change your rankings. You can then reference these changes to see how well they worked.
Historical Charts – SerpBook doesn’t just keep a record of your existing rankings, but you can actually view all of your past records. This is perfect for tracking your rankings over a period time and identifying algorithm changes.
Report Sharing – SerpBook will provide you with a “viewlink” – which you can choose to use their branding on or hide their branding. The viewlink simply allows you to provide clients or third-parties with a URL they can visit at any time to check their current rankings.
Categories – The ability to breakup your keywords into categories is probably one of their most used features. You could create a new category for each website, client, or type of keyword. You can literally use them for anything you want to.
Verify Results – SerpBook records their rank checks. This means you can click the spyglass icon next to any keyword to see a screenshot of their system checking search engines and verify its position in the search results.
Simple Layout – This is perhaps the first thing that ever attracted me to SerpBook. It’s just so damn nice looking. The interface is so clean and you can instantly find what you’re looking for. It just doesn’t get any simpler than that.
SerpBook offers both live chat and email support. Their support team is pretty awesome. If you’re one of those people that’s always worried about if you’re going to be able to figure out how something works, SerpBook is perfect for you. Their support team will help with anything you need
Customer support is a big thing for me. A company can offer a great product or service, but if they don’t have an awesome team to provide support for it, I won’t even waste time recommending them to people. With SerpBook, their team has you covered.
What Are You Waiting For?
SerpBook offers a 7-day free trial and a 14-day money back guarantee. Just give them a try. If you don’t like it, trust me, they don’t want to keep you money. This isn’t one of those services that you have to worry about jumping through hoops to cancel your account.
